Frequently Asked Questions

What Should I Bring?

You'll need comfortable clothing to allow for movement. Show up clean, with your nails trimmed, and remove all jewelry. If you have long hair you'll want to tie bring hair ties as well.

If you already have them: Mouth guard, boxing gloves, shin guards, (Kickboxing) or gi (Jiu Jitsu).

Gloves, shin guards, shirts, hoodies, and gis are available for purchase.

When are your classes?

Self Defense classes are weekday evenings and Mindful Movement classes are Saturday, Sunday, and Monday mornings. Open mat Tuesday evening and Saturday afternoon.

Where are you Located?

Our studio is at 187 Highland St. Haliburton. We are in Stedman's Mall, middle level, below Glecoff's Family Store.

Movement and Meditation is held at the bandshell in Head Lake Park, Haliburton during the summer, and in studio in the winter. You can also join in on zoom! Contact for more information.

Tai Chi takes place at 2354 South Lake Rd. Minden (near Gelert).

How much does it cost?

Our Drop in rate is $15. Personal lessons are $60/h. If you'll be here consistently, check out our membership prices!

What age do classes start at?

Kids classes are from 5-13 years old. Adult classes start at 14.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong can be practiced into your 90's, so you're never too old to start!

What is your Background?

I currently hold a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and a brown belt in Karate. I have trained different styles of Kung Fu for several years, and am currently learning more Wrestling and Judo to round out my MMA skill set.

I have been practicing Qi Gong for over a little over a decade, and Tai Chi since 2014.
